Webinar: How to Make Your Research Open 101

October 27, 2016

The theme of International Open Access Week this year is "Open in Action": instead of just discussing open access, what can we do this week to move toward a more open system for sharing information?

So for OA week, the OOO Canada Research Network - along with the Center for Open Science and the Public Knowledge Project - will be giving you a brief introduction to making your work open.  During our 1 hour webinar, you will connect with resources and people to support the openness of your research, including

  • Learning how to join the OOO Canada Research Network - a group of researchers, students, and activists advocating for open and transparent approaches to knowledge sharing.

  • Exploring the benefits of the latest version of Open Journal Systems (OJS) - a journal management and publishing system developed by the Public Knowledge Project to expand and improve access to research.

  • Getting started with the Open Science Framework - a free, open-source tool for connecting and managing your research workflow.

This webinar is open to anyone engaged or interested in research in Canada.

Please RSVP for this webinar if you are interested in attending. You will then receive details via e-mail on how to join the webinar.  You can RSVP with this form.
